Description The Washington State Department of Ecology has completed its First Periodic Review of the cleanup at the former Chevron Tank Farm at Port Washington Narrows. This review looks at site conditions and monitoring data to make sure the previous cleanup continues to protect people and the environment. During a site visit on June 30, 2025, Ecology confirmed that: The property is still being used as a city waterfront park. All groundwater monitoring wells were located, though several need routine maintenance. The cleanup requirements in the legal agreement (the environmental Covenant) are being followed. No additional cleanup work is needed currently. The property owner must continue inspecting the site and monitoring groundwater to ensure the cleanup remains effective.
