| Description | The Hansville Landfill is located at 7791 Ne Ecology Road, Kingston, WA. It operated as a municipal landfill serving the northern portion of Kitsap County from about 1962 until June 1989. The landfill has been closed. Since closure, the site has been maintained with a protective cap to keep rain from seeping in, a system that collects and treats landfill gas. Ecology invites comments on the periodic review. The periodic review is to ensure that these cleanup measures remain effective, that safeguards are working as intended, and that the site continues to protect people’s health and the environment. | ||||
