Description | The Underground Storage Tank (UST) program was created to prevent leaks and spills and to provide for early detection of leaks from USTs in order to protect human health and the environment. This policy provides direction to Washington State Department of Ecology staff for enforcing the UST regulations, Chapter 173-360A WAC. Find additional UST guidance available at https://ecology.wa.gov/Regulations-Permits/Guidance-technical-assistance/Underground-Storage-Tank-guidance-focus-sheets REVISION NOTE: This policy became effective in September 1992. In September 2018, we formatted the document, updated the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) language, and cataloged it in Ecology’s publications database. With the exception of ADA language, the content of this policy did not change. |
