Description (1) The form asks the applicant to identify which permit or license they intend to receive and to provide details regarding the proposed project. The applicant is also asked to enter specific information on how the project is consistent with the State Shoreline Management Act, the State Clean Air Act, the State Water Pollution Control Act, the Ocean Resources Management Act, and the Marine Spatial Plan for Washington's Pacific Coast.
(2) In the federal consistency procedures document, Ecology briefly provides background on the state's Coastal Zone Management Program (CZMP) and related enforceable policies, describes the process for public notice and involvement, and highlights tribal engagement efforts. The rest of the document outlines the required procedures for reviewing "federal actions" authorized under the CZMA, including activities proposed by a federal agency, applications for federal licenses or permits, and federal funding projects. The document also details the most recent changes to Ecology's federal license and permit activities list.
