| Description | The Washington State Department of Ecology is asking for your comments on the draft Cleanup Action Plan for the Chevron Pipe Line Company Pasco Bulk Terminal site February 6 – March 7, 2023. The proposed plan to clean up petroleum in groundwater is to increase oxygen in groundwater by adding sleeves with oxygen-releasing compounds to the monitoring wells and to continue monitoring groundwater quality to track cleanup progress. An investigation in 2021 showed no threat to public drinking water. Ecology will respond to all the comments we receive by March 7, 2023, and publish our responses after that. We will hold an online public meeting if at least 10 people request it. El Departamento de Ecología del Estado de Washington (Ecología) solicita sus comentarios sobre el borrador del Plan de Acción de Limpieza para el sitio de la Terminal de Graneles del oleoducto de la empresa Chevron en Pasco 6 de febrero – 7 de marcha, 2023. El plan propuesto para limpiar el petróleo en las aguas subterráneas es aumentar el oxígeno en el agua subterránea agregando mangas con compuestos que liberan oxígeno a los pozos de monitoreo y continuar monitoreando la calidad del agua subterránea para seguir el progreso de la limpieza. Una investigación en 2021 mostró que no hay amenaza para el agua potable pública. Ecología responderá a todos los comentarios que recibimos antes de la 7 de marcha, 2023, y después publicaremos nuestras respuestas. Realizaremos una reunión pública en línea si al menos 10 personas lo solicitan. |
