| Description | The Toxics Cleanup Program (TCP) at the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) offers “remedial action” grants and loans. They help communities clean up contaminated sites and provide safe drinking water under Washington’s environmental cleanup law, the Model Toxics Control Act. Applicants must use Ecology’s Administration of Grants & Loans system (EAGL) to apply for the funding. This document contains EAGL instructions, tips, and screenshots when applying for *Independent Remedial Action Grants (IRAGs).* This document is applicable only for TCP’s remedial action grant and loan solicitation for the 2023-25 biennium. IRAGs are grants offered to local governments that independently clean up contamination under the Washington Department of Ecology’s Voluntary Cleanup Program. Local governments are welcome to apply for this funding if they have 1) completed an independent cleanup through the Voluntary Cleanup Program, and 2) have received a determination of No Further Action from Ecology. |
