Draft Periodic Review Report

Ecology invites you to review and comment on the draft periodic review report for this cleanup site. We conduct a periodic review at least every five years after beginning cleanup at a site. The purpose of the review is to evaluate current site conditions and to ensure the continued protection of people and the environment.

Ecology visited the site October 3, 2023, and inspected the asphalt and concrete caps, fencing and Site security measures, and groundwater monitoring wells. The site is operating as as an active retail agricultural chemical sales and distribution facility. Nitrate in groundwater is still higher than state standards. Although cleanup standards have not yet been met, the cleanup actions completed at the Site are protective of human health and the environment. We discovered the environmental covenants required to document the remaining contamination had never been filed, so the property owner is completing that.

Site Background

The site is used as an agricultural chemical distribution facility, where fertilizers and pesticides are formulated, mixed, packaged, and distributed to buyers for off-site application to agricultural fields. Past releases of hazardous substances contaminated soil and groundwater.

Several investigations and cleanup actions have been conducted at the site. You can learn more by viewing the documents below.
