Description The Washington State Department of Ecology is developing standardized methods called “model remedies” to clean up contaminated sites. Model remedies can help streamline and accelerate the pace of cleanups. This guidance document (often referred to as “Model Remedies for Groundwater”) discusses twelve model remedies for sites where groundwater has been impacted by petroleum.

A note about this revision: This guidance was originally published as a draft for public comment in May 2016 and finalized in August 2016. In August 2017, it was revised again as a draft for public comment, and finalized in December 2017 based on comments received from mid-August 2017 through September 22, 2017.
