| Description | Ecology invites the public to comment on a new Agreed Order for the Port of Vancouver Cadet/Swan (port), NuStar Terminals Services, Inc., (NuStar) and Kinder Morgan Bulk Terminals LLC., (KMBT) site. Due to historic land use and industrial practices, soil, groundwater and sediment are contaminated with Trichloroethylene (TCE) and Tetrachloroethylene (PCE). Groundwater is also contaminated with copper, nitrate, ammonia and other metals. It has not been determined if these contaminants are present in soil or sediment. The presence of these materials can be harmful to human health and the environment, so cleanup is important. |
