Description The Washington Department of Ecology is directing cleanup of smelter-related metals contamination on Northport’s waterfront. You are invited to comment on the draft Cleanup Action Plan May 2nd through June 1st, 2022. We are proposing to remove and cap contamination, and encourage recreation in cleaned up areas. We are holding an online public meeting at 6 p.m. on May 17, 2022. Please see the publication for details about how to join.
