| Description | To address petroleum contamination at the Airport Kwik Stop cleanup site, the Washington Department of Ecology proposes to excavate the shallow soil beneath the fuel pumps at the former convenience store. Excavated material would be disposed at an appropriate waste facility. We reviewed the proposed work using the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Checklist and determined it won’t have negative impacts. The SEPA process identifies and analyzes environmental impacts associated with governmental decisions. The excavation plan, SEPA checklist, and our determination are available for public review and comment January 30 through March 1, 2023. | ||||
