| Description | To reduce lead exposure, the Washington State Legislature adopted a new law in 2024 addressing cookware that contains lead. Beginning January 1, 2026, it will be illegal in Washington to manufacture, distribute, or sell cookware or cookware components containing lead at more than five parts per million.
