The Snoqualmie Summit Inn Property is located on SR 906 at Snoqualmie Pass. The property is located in both King and Kittitas Counties.
A 2007 Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment reported that the eastern portion of the King County side of the property was covered with several types of heavy equipment, snow blowers, a bus, aboveground storage tanks (ASTs), and 5-gallon buckets of petroleum products. It was reported that the western part of the King County parcel was vacant land with one small storage structure.
In 2008, the environmental consultant reported contaminated stockpiled soil and heavy oil and hydraulic fluid staining on the soil surface during a Phase II environmental site assessment. Based on discussion with the owner, the property was being leased to Cascade Snow Plowing. The owner requested that Cascade Snow Plowing remove the contaminated stockpiled soil and soil staining from the property.
Based on the information provided by both the owner and their environmental consultant that the stained soils are no longer present on the property and was disposed of properly, Ecology made a no further action determination in February 2014.
