Site Background

In the late 1970s, a 2,000- gallon underground fuel storage tank was installed.  The fuel was to service the Coca Cola vehicles.  In 1989, approximately 100 gallon of diesel fuel was reported as a spill.  In 1999, the fueling system was terminated. The underground storage tank were removed. Approximately 20 cubic yards of contaminated soil and 40 gallons of contaminated ground water was pumped out.

Voluntary Cleanup Program

This site was cleaned up under our Voluntary Cleanup Program, which provides technical help to owners of contaminated sites.

Voluntary Cleanup Program customers pay fees to cover our costs for technical help and reviewing cleanup reports. Sites in this program must meet the same cleanup standards as the sites Ecology manages under legal orders.
