This station was permanently removed in November 2008 due to substantial beaver activity at the site, which was making the stage-discharge relationship extremely volatile.

Station 01K050 Description
Maple Creek is a higher elevation tributary that flows southward from Silver Lake before converging with the North Fork Nooksack River near river mile 49.7. Data collected at this station will be used to develop a relationship between flow and habitat for salmon recovery. This station is located on the right bank at Nugua’lum Park, just downstream from the small bridge. The lower section of Maple Creek supports populations of coho, steelhead, chinook, chum, char, pink and sockeye salmon as well as cutthroat and rainbow trout.
