Station 01N060 Description
Bertrand Creek is a lowland tributary that flows from southern B.C., primarily through agricultural areas, and drains into the mainstem Nooksack River at river mile 12.5. Bertrand Creek is the focus of management efforts to improve habitat and instream flows under the Comprehensive Irrigation District Management Plan (CIDMP) and WRIA 01 management. The data will be used to assist in assessing effectiveness of management projects. The gage is located on the left bank at the Rathbone Road Bridge crossing located approximately 1.5 miles from the confluence with the mainstem Nooksack River. Bertrand Creek supports populations of coho, steelhead, chinook, chum, and sockeye salmon as well as cutthroat trout.
