Station 01N100 Description
Bertrand Creek is a lowland tributary that flows from southern B.C., primarily through agricultural arears, and drains into the mainstem Nooksack River at river mile 12.5. Bertrand Creek is the focus of management efforts to improve habitat and instream flows under the Comprehensive Irrigation District Management Plan (CIDMP) and WRIA 01 management. The data will be used to assist in assessing effectiveness of management projects. The gage is located on the right bank just upstream of the 0 Avenue bridge and the border between the U.S. and Canada. Bertrand Creek supports populations of coho, steelhead, chinook, chum, and sockeye salmon as well as cutthroat trout.
