Description Ecology and the Spokane County Conservation District (SCCD) developed this TMDLs because several parts of Hangman Creek were identified on the state’s 303(d) list of impaired waters for not meeting state water quality standards for fecal coliform, dissolved oxygen, pH, and temperature. a phosphorus load allocation has been recommended for Hangman Creek by the draft Spokane River/Lake Spokane Dissolved Oxygen TMDL. Since phosphorus is often attached to suspended sediment, efforts to reduce turbidity may help increase Spokane River DO.
