Description Two areas were sampled to determine if contaminant levels in fish were different from historical results: Lake Chelan for DDTs in lake trout and the Wenatchee River for PCBs in mountain whitefish. Two sample preparation methods (skin-on and skin-off fillets) were also compared to see if differences existed.

No reductions in contaminant levels in fish were found from either area. No differences were found in results from skin-off and skin-on fillets. The previously issued Fish Consumption Advisories for Lake Chelan and the Wenatchee River are unlikely to be changed by the Washington State Department of Health.
